1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Solo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Solo is a business management platform designed for solopreneurs, freelancers, and independent workers. The Service provides tools for project management, client tracking, invoicing, calendar integration, and AI-powered business insights.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription and Payments

Solo offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and will automatically renew unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

5. AI Features and Credits

AI features are available to paid subscribers and consume credits based on usage. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over. The AI assistant is provided "as is" and should not be relied upon for critical business decisions without human review.

6. Financial Features and Limitations

6.1 NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE

Solo provides tools for invoicing, payment tracking, and business management. The AI features in Solo provide analysis and suggestions for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Solo does not provide financial, tax, legal, or investment advice.

6.2 PAYMENT PROCESSING

All payment processing is handled by third-party providers (Stripe, Plaid). Solo does not store, process, or transmit sensitive payment information. Payment disputes are governed by the terms of service of the payment processor.

6.3 TAX CALCULATIONS

Tax calculations are provided by Stripe Tax and are estimates based on available information. Solo does not guarantee the accuracy of tax calculations and is not liable for tax compliance. Consult a tax professional.

6.4 AI LIMITATIONS

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or "hallucinations." You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use. Solo disclaims liability for decisions made based on AI output.

6.5 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT SHALL SOLO BE LIABLE FOR ANY FINANCIAL LOSSES, TAX PENALTIES, PAYMENT DISPUTES, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE. YOUR USE OF FINANCIAL FEATURES IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Share your account credentials with others

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Solo and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
